@timkawakami I agree Purdy is good and potentially great. He is severely underrated by casual NFL fans. I don't think you are being deceptive, just that QB Efficiency is a stat that needs era-adjustment to be meaningful. In comparing baseball players, Adjusted OPS+>OPS.

@timkawakami Misleading stat without factoring in league context (like comparing OPS in baseball from 70s to the PED era). All the era-adjusted stats do in fact show Purdy to be very good and even underrated. But not in the all time great category.

@bballbreakdown When you watch full games from the 80s on YouTube (it's fun!) you see both: 1) Really hard fouls that would draw ejections and suspensions today, and 2) Lots of light contact drawing a whistle that explain why they shot 20-30 pct more FTs then than now.

@WerderEdNFL The problem, as always with the Cowboys, is middling personnel. They have famous players but when you see independent roster evals that are usually smack dead center average. But the team always markets itself as "loaded with talent." So coaches get blamed for a middling roster.

@allthecubs @No_Mo_Diversity @nut_history The most overrated players are all the "All Time Greats" who dominated a professional sport in its infancy. Cap Anson isn't really an all time great. Neither are Honus Wagner or Christy Mathewson.
