@techyoutbe That's very true but job ads typically state they want commercial experience in the above (i.e. for you to have done it at a previous work). Side projects alone won't cut it with most recruiters.

@PythonDvz People say this but I still see quite a few job ads titled "AI Engineer" asking for multiple years experience in ML, Pytorch etc. I have even seen some ask for PhDs.

Talking w a larger startup whose product seems to not have degraded (vs many other products), even though they also use a AI for coding everywhere. Asked an infra lead: how? "Even before AI, we were paranoid about quality, and built this irrationally thorough E2E testing system"
