The entire H-1B debate is being incited by idiots. American workers are among the greatest in the world because of our work culture, ambition and work ethic. The problem isn’t that American workers aren’t good enough. The problem is we don’t have enough of them. So we recruit talented people from around the world to fill the gaps and grow the economy alongside us. They don’t inherit our birthright. They don’t get to vote. They can’t simply come, stay, change jobs, or leave and return whenever they please without navigating the government’s immigration system. Many spend decades waiting for the opportunity to become citizens. We dangle the American Dream in front of some of the world’s most talented people because we want what they’re good at. There’s nothing wrong with admitting that. That isn’t replacing America. That’s how America became America.
