Our very own @Dylan_Morri made his way to the @NYSE to chat about about how Stone is Powering Tomorrow with the next generation of power generation

Elon’s post over the weekend that we’ll still need natural gas to power data centers for the next several years underscores power as an underappreciated investment theme.
It reminds me a little bit of when Nvidia’s business began to take off in CY23. It was clear to the market that GPUs were an obvious investment theme, but the market missed the magnitude of the growth potential.
To put it into perspective, from mid-CY23, when it was clear that Nvidia was going to be an AI darling, to today, the stock is up 416%. That compares to the Nasdaq, up 92%.
In other words, it makes sense to put new money to work in power. That’s what we’ve been doing at Deepwater with our private power investments, which include @antoraenergy, @RedwoodMat, @StonePowerUS, and @boomsupersonic.
Meet CJ Nolen, our newest Resp. Eng. He has more than 10yrs working on the STEP demo sCO2 turbine at Southwest Research Institute. One of the world’s leading turbine development programs.
He owns the entire bottoming cycle for our combined cycle gas turbine from tip to tail.
Our team is our competitive edge. Join us @StonePowerUS
ELON MUSK: “Turbines are sold out through 2030. In order to bring enough power online, SpaceX and Tesla will probably have to make the turbine blades and vanes internally. There are only three casting companies in the world that make these, and they’re massively backlogged.”
Meet Vlad Belyaev, Founding Resp. Eng. at @StonePowerUS
He owns combustion flange to flange and cradle to grave.
20+ years in the gas turbine hot gas path. 15 at GE, 3.5 at Blue on the BE-7 engine for lunar lander.
He's already designed a world-class combustor for Stone. Welcome!
I asked people: "which AI supply chain startups (compute, power, chips, datacenters) valued at $10b or less are most interesting?"
10 votes: MatX
8: American Terawatt
6 each: Lightmatter, Modal, Prime Intellect
4 each: Valar Atomics, Wafer
3 each: Ayar Labs, d-Matrix, Gimlet Labs, Heron Power, Olix, Panthalassa, Positron, Substrate, Taalas, Tenstorrent, xLight
2 each: Aalo Atomics, Corintis, Fab2, General Matter, Ornn, SF Compute, Starcloud, Stone Power, TensorWave
1 each: 49 more startups, see image and below
People also voted for Base Power, Crusoe, Etched, and Fluidstack but those are over the valuation limit.
Disclosure: I'm a small angel in American Terawatt and Wafer. I didn't vote.
Michael Alber leads Statics Engineering at @StonePowerUS: turbine casing out to and including balance of plant on our clean-sheet turbine.
He comes from leading reactor at Radiant and mech at SpaceX
He is a great example of the engineers and leaders that make Stone great.
