I'm the same age as I Dream of Jeannie! Loved that show. Too young to watch on network TV, but would watch it in syndication after school. Always more favored than Bewitched because it was NASA and Air Force adjacent. Oh, and of course, @Barbara_Eden!

We don’t often think about the passage of time when we’re living in the moment. While today marks the 61st anniversary of I Dream of Jeannie, 61 years into the future was the furthest thought from my mind on that frigid day in December of 1964. That was when we filmed the pilot

Rumors continue about @ToysRUs opening stores. But if we don't see the return of this department, I'm out. 😂 Hey, @commodoreofcl, how about stocking some shiny new C64 Ultimates in these stores?

This has probably already been suggested, but has anyone thought about a fork of FreeCAD just for 3D parametric modeling? Seems this leaner version would remove the barrier to entry for many new users and allow an upgrade path for more power later. Thoughts?

#FreeCAD #feature PartDesign gets a parametric Defeaturing command! Removes selected faces + rebuilds a clean solid based - no more manual workarounds for imported geometry cleanup. Quickly edit STEP files or remove features like tangentially propagated fillets or geometry lumps

@CubicleNate Very. The key is the original sketch. Recent updates allow more faces on a single sketch and when you have them properly constrained, making changes doesn't break the model as frequently.

I'm really digging the updates. And this is a huge quality of life improvement! Keep them coming.

📢#FreeCAD #feature just merged! Sketcher dimension and constraint tools can now reference model edges and vertices directly, no more manual external geometry import first. Fixes a long standing usability issue. Test it in the weekly tomorrow! #FreeCAD #CAD #OpenSource #Sketcher

@FreeCADNews @FixTechStuff1 And keep working on stability, @FreeCADNews. The occasional crashes are also frustrating for new users. Love what you are providing to the community.

Part of the complexity is just the number of workbenches that overwhelm early users. You only need two for the kind of work you are doing, Sketcher and PartDesign. Turn all the rest off in preferences and then try again, watch tutorials (Offset CAD is good too), and focus on learning about sketching and constraints. They get easier. I watch a short video every weekend to remind me how to use the tools and learn tips. Hope that helps. Hang in there. Development has been fast and furious of late and usability seems to be a focus. As an old CAD/Draftsman, I appreciate where the package is headed.

Seems this would open up the use of A.I. tools to create and refine models. Would love to combine this with @grok with grok-cli.
