I am starting to be OK with the overused term "AI". My objection was that everyone seemed to understand it as actual intelligence, created artificially. But I now realize it is fun to hear and treat it as "fake intelligence", even if the speaker does not intend it like this.

This way, it is "easier" to pick up by first not having child components and learning the library gradually. It may seem scary at first, but it becomes very logical and fits in the head later.

@daveddev @DanielW_Kiwi You might find PureScript (the language) and Halogen (the library) interesting. It can be seen as Elm+: all the same good properties, but no (silly) limitations and more power. I think this is what you mean by "too pure".

@DanielW_Kiwi @geistgrail This is why I like Halogen of PureScript so much. It is exactly the Elm architecture, but within a component and with clearly defined interaction mechanisms between components. It works very well and is very predictable and clean.

Aside from "simply" generating fully working applications and front-ends, very deep conversations and learning about the language, patterns and fine specifica is also no problem.

@fjzeit @DanielW_Kiwi Maybe another one. Everyone knows "chaining", "combining", "composing" and so on. What if we want to make all of this more (1) exact and reusable, in (2) predictable ways which (3) capture commonalities of different situations? This is what the notion of monad and co give us.

@fjzeit @DanielW_Kiwi This is a well-known phenomenon in the FP community. It has been recognized for a while that most attempts originating from the "monad tutorial industry" are fundamentally wrong for the reasons closely related to what you are describing.
