Seventy-three years ago, the United States and the Republic of Korea made a commitment to stand together in defense of freedom. Through war and peace, challenge and change, that bond has endured—and our nations are stronger and safer because of it. Today, in Montgomeryville, we celebrated that enduring alliance with our so many friends, neighbors, and veterans from our incredible PA-1 Korean American community. My sincere thanks to Master Yang and all who made this special tribute possible, as well all our Korean American neighbors, whose friendship, service, and leadership continue to strengthen our community and the ties between our nations.

Along the banks of our beautiful Delaware River in historic Edgely, the Bristol Yacht Club has been bringing neighbors together since 1948. A perfect evening for Music on the River last night—great music, beautiful views, and, best of all, time spent catching up with so many friends and neighbors. My thanks to all the BYC members for all you do to celebrate and preserve the river life that makes this corner of our community so special, and to Finster for putting on such a great show!

Always a great day with my friends and the incredible patriots of American Legion Riders Chapter 960 at their annual Pig Roast in Levittown! This is a special crew—a family forged through service, strengthened by camaraderie, and bound by a commitment to always show up for our veterans, our neighbors, and one another. Grateful for their friendship, our partnership in serving our PA-1 veteran community, and for the countless ways they continue to answer the call to serve. Our community is stronger because of them.

Our communities and our residents must always come first — Period. Innovation will reshape our economy and our national security. The question is whether we shape that future—or allow it to shape us. This week, we made major bipartisan progress. The House passed my Ratepayer Protection Act 417–3, advancing a principle I’ve been fighting for from the start: innovation must strengthen our communities, not come at their expense. Families and small businesses must never be forced to subsidize the massive infrastructure demands of the world’s largest technology companies. Today, I joined Jon Scott on Fox News to discuss that progress and where we go from here. We will keep pushing—putting our community first, protecting our national security, and building responsible rules of the road that allow America to lead innovation while providing 100% protection to our residents and our communities. Because protecting our residents is a non-negotiable requirement.

What a great afternoon in Montgomery County celebrating Community Day with my friends at the North Penn Mosque! This tradition is all about community: opening doors, welcoming neighbors, and strengthening the friendships and partnerships that bring us closer together. Join me in congratulating Michael Stianchi of Troop 24, from Jamison, on earning the rank of Eagle Scout—reaching this remarkable milestone at just 13 years old! For his project, Michael transformed planter boxes at Warwick Elementary School into a vibrant Sensory Garden, creating four distinct spaces centered on smell, hearing, touch, and sight. Using native Pennsylvania plants, natural textures, and even a QR-code information system, he created a space where students can step outside the classroom and experience science and nature in a fun, new way. After every Scout ceremony, I walk away impressed with our young leaders, and grateful for the chance to hear from them, learn from them, and spend time with their families. Congratulations, Michael—and thank you to the entire PA-1 Scouting community for continuing to lead through service!

What Frank and Linda Kuepper have built through the Autism Cares Foundation is truly extraordinary. What began with one family’s determination to create more opportunities for their son has grown into a community that now serves more than 9,000 individuals with autism and other disabilities—opening doors to connection, independence, and experiences that enrich lives and strengthen families. This morning’s annual Race 4 Resources in Newtown brought our community together behind that mission and the remarkable people who carry it forward every day. My sincere thanks to Frank, Linda, and the entire ACF team for the difference you make in so many lives. Grateful to stand beside you always—and proud to call you friends.

On National POW/MIA Recognition Day, I was honored to stand with the Sigafoos family and our Richboro community in tribute to a great American patriot, U.S. Air Force Captain Walter H. Sigafoos III. On April 25, 1971, Capt. Sigafoos and his pilot, Lt. Col. Jeffrey C. Lemon, departed on a mission over Laos during the Vietnam War. They never returned and were declared Missing in Action. More than half a century later, Capt. Sigafoos’ name now has a permanent place in the community he called home. With the dedication of a portion of Second Street Pike in his honor, his courage, patriotism, and devotion to country will be carried forward for generations. Please join me in keeping the Sigafoos family in our thoughts and prayers and in expressing our deepest gratitude for Captain Sigafoos’ service and sacrifice. May every person who passes his name remember the patriots who answered our nation’s call, the families who still await their return, and the promise America must always keep: they are never forgotten.

I thank @RepGolden and @RepMGP for helping us get the Russian Sanctions Bill passed. Without their support on the Rule vote, the bill would have died. I’m grateful to them for taking the tough, but right, vote.

This week, I had the honor of speaking on the House floor to pay tribute to one of our community’s Hometown Heroes: the late Bruce Burdell Burkart of Doylestown. A graduate of North Wales High School’s Class of 1949, Bruce was a three-sport varsity athlete before answering the call to serve our country during the Korean War, enlisting in the United States Army and serving from 1951 to 1954. When he came home to Bucks County, that sense of duty never left him. In New Britain Borough, Bruce became the first building inspector, served 24 years as tax collector, sat on Borough Council, worked as Judge of Elections, and preserved the community’s history as Borough Historian. But some of the clearest examples of who Bruce was came without a title. He repaired and maintained the local library, helped restore the Walter Harvey World War I Memorial, volunteered at the Mercer Museum, mentored an Eagle Scout project, and donated more than 22 gallons of blood through the American Red Cross. And for years, along with his beloved wife, Nancy, they delivered meals together through Bucks County Meals on Wheels—bringing food, companionship, and a familiar face to neighbors who depended on them. After Nancy passed away, following 64 years of marriage, Bruce continued making those deliveries, four days a week, in her honor. That may be the clearest window into the kind of man he was. In the midst of his own loss, Bruce kept showing up for others. He was selfless, generous with his time, and quick-witted. His impact on New Britain was so lasting that, in 2013, Borough Hall was renamed Burkart Hall in recognition of the contributions he made to the community. Perhaps the best way we can honor a life like Bruce’s is to follow his example: show up for a neighbor, lend a hand where it is needed, and find one more way to make our own corner of the community a little stronger. Please join me in extending our deepest condolences to Bruce’s family, and in honoring a life so well lived and a legacy our entire community will remember with gratitude.

The fight against cancer is personal for so many of us. It certainly is for me. Grateful for the time today with @AACR and the incredible Carolyn Searles, a breast cancer survivor, just like my mom and sister. Reforming our broken redistricting system has been a cornerstone of my work since the day I entered Congress. Earlier this year, we brought Republicans and Democrats together in the Problem Solvers Caucus around a comprehensive framework to take on partisan gerrymandering. Yesterday, we unveiled four bipartisan bills to put those reforms into law. Our approach is clear: end mid-decade redistricting, establish consistent national standards, empower independent citizen commissions, and create a uniform process for resolving challenges. For too long, both parties have condemned gerrymandering when it hurts them and exploited it when it helps them. That cycle has to end. We are setting a better standard: one set of fair rules for everyone, with the American people—not political power—at the center of the process.

For months, I have been working with local residents, local leaders, and colleagues on both sides of the aisle to put our communities back at the center of the conversation around data centers. Today, the House passed a key piece of that effort: my Ratepayer Protection Act, bipartisan legislation to protect our families and small businesses from increased energy costs. For months, along with my colleagues from both sides of the aisle, we have been developing serious, bipartisan frameworks to strengthen the safeguards around advanced AI. Now it is time to move that work forward. We’re now calling on House leadership to advance the dozens of bipartisan bills already on the table to strengthen AI security, transparency, and independent oversight—and better protect the systems our country depends on. When the risks are clear and responsible solutions are within reach, inaction carries consequences of its own. We should not wait for a crisis to force the decisions we are capable of making today.

My friend and partner, the late Senator Lindsey Graham, and I took up this fight together, united in the belief that America and the free world could not stand by while Putin wages his war of terror against Ukraine. 86 Senators voted for the Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act. President Zelensky supports it. Vladimir Putin opposes it. That should tell us everything we need to know. This is not Ukraine’s fight alone. There are moments when the principles we speak of—freedom and democracy, and the refusal to surrender either to tyranny—require something of us. This is one of those moments. That was at the center of my meeting today with our incredible constituent advocates, Jamie Roller of Bensalem and Victoria Nedza of Chalfont, longtime partners in our work with the SPEAK Foundation on Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy. Together, we sat down and focused on solutions—how we can accelerate drug development, break down barriers to treatment, and improve access for patients and families. As Co-Chair of the Congressional Rare Disease Caucus, voices from our community like Jamie’s and Victoria’s directly guide our work and help shape the priorities we take on in Congress.
