I’d love to find a graphic design + illustration intern who can help me build the visual world around my apps. Someone who can take the feeling behind an app and turn it into a beautiful image, illustration, composition, or little visual story for the App Store, social media, and everything around it. I have been trying the new @pockityapp beta and I have two workflows that are worthy of a mention. First, the new Add Smart entry automation Pockity iOS app that triggers on every bank transaction SMS and creates draft entries for me. It syncs automatically to Mac app. (1/2)

I honestly don’t understand why so many developers on my timeline are upset about Apple rejecting apps that ask for ratings on first launch or during onboarding. It seems like one of the best decisions Apple has made in this area. Why would you ask users to rate your app before they’ve even had a chance to use it? A rating is supposed to reflect an actual experience. Asking for one upfront feels misleading and serves the developer more than the user. As product builders, we should have some ethical standards. There are countless dark patterns that can boost reviews, subscriptions, and engagement metrics, but that doesn’t make them right. A simple question I always ask is: would I appreciate this experience if I were the user? If the answer is no, then why would I intentionally design it into my product? Building a great product should be the thing that earns reviews, not clever tactics that try to extract them before users have experienced any value.
