Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.9 is now available for supported models. This release migrates to OpenSSL 3.5, and implements a new hardware-accelerated AQM (BCM4912 and BCM4916 models only).

@eevblog Malicious or AI scraper bot flood? I've seen the latter be a major issue both at SNBForums and Linksysinfo. Blocking scrapers through Cloudflare eventually solved it on both sites (one of them also implemented a few WAF rules to make things harder for scrapers).
@sysxplore I always felt IPv6 was overengineered, which is part of why its adoption rate has been so slow. Instead of just enlarging the address space, they also bolted a lot of additionnal changes on top of it.

@tophersimmons I haven't paid as much attention to SSD price hikes, but thankfully I'm all set on NVME storage in my desktop. I have around 1.8 TB free out of 5 TB total between three SSDs.

Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.9 will include a new AQM implementation that works with hardware acceleration enabled. This uses Broadcom's Traffic Manager, which is available on models with a BCM4912 or BCM4916 CPU.

@awakecoding Windows has always been VERY conservative when ensuring backward compatibility. Old software that use hardcoded 256 bytes path buffers could crash. But I do agree that it's time we moved on. Too often I deal with customers having issues with long paths on their file servers.
