@Guudfit You'll find your groove, and be back on your feet. I'd say not feeling sad at all is weird! Don't dwell on it though, read something and take a break, get your mind off it and do whatever you need to do to stop yourself from dwelling on it.

@Guudfit W/e the grade comes out of it, I'm happy. Whether I eek out past it or not, don't want to hate CS because of it. So I'll keep doing what I like regardless, move through whatever opens up.

@Guudfit It's alright, I don't really feel sad about it. I kind of accept that "it was what happened to me, and that is what I was able to muster up given the circumstances". Very much will continue, got a reference from my favorite professor, and heaps of praise on my dissertation.

@Guudfit In other words, I too was fucked by something I can't control at all. Was told some random things by university staff, followed their advice, and now they're blaming me for it.

@Guudfit I very much do understand! I spent 2 years saving up money to get myself into this spot, got a benign tumor during the exam period that threw off 3 years of work. Dropped from a 89% average to a 65.6%, and naturally that possibly has an effect on what I can even apply to.

@Guudfit You're a smart chap, no one is going to argue there. So walk through the doors that open for you and don't dwell on the ones that close

@bee_fumo No, guix is where they work on wlroots bindings for guile instead of patching things.

@Guudfit You are doing great though, can't believe you're juggling an undergrad and a MSc

@Guudfit Can't guarantee anything, but such is life. Might end up with a grade good enough to push it through (even though what I submitted is a very rough draft).

@Guudfit Now I'm riding the dissertation. I think I did relatively well. Most of the other people just did an engineering project. I ended up showing that under a functional framework that "implements" zermelo's theorem game theory, an automorphism of the game preserves the optimal value

@Guudfit It's okay! Tbh, you're probably in a better spot than I am. I ended up flunking most of my exams (cancer scare and didn't revise at all). Now I averaged out to a borderline distinction. Waiting on my dissertation grade while playing video games.
