We wrote in our comments to the @CFTC that we'd support a new rule expressly banning prediction markets from offering products linked to traditional casino-style games like slots, roulette, and table games. Good to see movement on this piece.

Dodd-Frank gave the CFTC the job to oversee event contracts. Mulvaney in Congress: Dodd-Frank has too many protections. Mulvaney now as head of @EndBackdoorBets: the CFTC has too few protections; give it to state regulators. Running a casino influence op while claiming it's about consumer protection? Definitely shady. Flipping from too much protection to too little the second the casinos need it? Definitely convenient.

@SeanPMaloney nails it: prediction markets have "massive and important use cases that will never come within the competence of a state gaming commission." If you care about consumer protection, that's why you need a federal regulator - the @CFTC - overseeing these markets.
