@AertgeertsRoger @Dr_TheHistories Antwerp is not France. I found no evidence that serving wine in French schools was restricted to 'deep rural.' Look at the historical photographs above; the children are being served in regular wine glasses. The French Education ban shows the authorities saw it as harmful

@TheProjectUnity The Romans did move 800-ton stone, for example, the Trilithon at the Temple of Jupiter in Lebanon. Pre-industrial societies could do this. In 1770, the Russians moved the "Thunder Stone," weighing 1,250 tons, over 6 kilometres to a pedestal in St. Petersburg using human labour.

@AertgeertsRoger @Dr_TheHistories Wine is actually about 9%. Being Jewish, I got wine as a kid regularly too, but not so much. Although "wine and beer were safer than water" when municipal sanitation didn't exist and water sources were frequently contaminated, applying that history to 1950s France is a stretch.

@AncientHistorry What compared to ancient Rome? Our horse racing, motorsport and athletics are much bigger; today's casino resorts dwarf what they had; we have far more game clubs, both physical and online; and the internet means more people writing and posting than all their graffiti‑writers

@Rainmaker1973 Actually, monitored populations of migratory freshwater fish declined by an average of 81% between 1970 and 2020, but not all freshwater fish populations did. I do agree that this represents a serious crisis.

@histories_arch She met a violent end from a Christian mob, amid fierce religious tension in Alexandria, though the cause was probably a much political. By then, the famed Library of Alexandria was already only a ghost of its former self. Her death is said to have ended pagan philosophy there.

@OMApproach The immediate problem is that Neanderthals went extinct about 40,000 years ago. You need to revise the Biblical Timeline, which is 6,000. Some have done this, but it's hard. The other issue is that if you want Adam to be the first man, he needs to be dated to 300,000 years ago.

@Copterdr282 @OMApproach Although the Talmud mentions Lilith several times, it never refers to her as Adam's wife, only as a female demon.

@skykedtranovski @Math_files We do not know what Pythagoras claimed; he certainly did not invent the theorem and almost certainly learned it from others. He was a mystic, not a mathematician, so he wrapped this knowledge in the mysticism of his religious cult, which required him to take the credit.

@Timothy01775634 @Math_files A rational number is defined as a ratio of two integers, a/b, where the integers are defined as counting whole units. In, say, base sqrt(2). You've shifted the irrationality inside the base itself.

@Math_files The precision required to measure such a small angle was impossible with the tools then, and this calculation fails to account for atmospheric refraction and temperature inversions.
