Sophie responds to the article from @TheAthletic demanding Fever to drop her
"If you're going to live by the praise, you'll die by the hate.....I'm going to continue to do me.....suck it"
This is the appropriate response. We should all be more like this.
Before restoring an old photo, keep an untouched copy. Save the edited version separately so you can compare, try another approach, or return to the original later. A clearer image should not replace your only source.
OpenPixels runs photo enhancement in your browser. Enlarge, reduce noise, restore faces, colourise or remove backgrounds without uploading your photo. No account required.

😲 Seems very short sighted 👇.
In an age of disinformation and nasty social media algorithms, we need quality media more than ever.
Without European public sector media, we are in the hands of Musk and Zuckerberg 🇺🇸.
sending to a wallet name solves one problem but it doesnt automatically tell you whether the person behind that name is legitimate
thats why @Americanfort_io adding FortressChat directly into the wallet is an interesting choice
the chat is already live and end to end encrypted and its tied to the same FortressName used for payments
so instead of copying an address and trusting that everything is correct you can actually speak with the recipient before sending anything
no telegram
no jumping between apps
no guessing whether the account belongs to the right person
the conversation happens right beside the send to name flow which makes the verification step feel much more natural
free accounts can chat with up to 10 unique names while receiving and contacts stay unlimited
paid names can unlock higher chat limits
SafeSend is still being developed but FortressChat is already available
free FortressName

Hi Moraes,
My GitHub account ([email protected]) has been suspended, making my open-source project inaccessible:

I submitted a support ticket (ID #4784071). Although I received an initial response and provided the requested information, I haven't heard anything since.
Just released forge3d 1.41.0!
This release brings 3D Gaussian splats, LiDAR scans and terrain together in one scene, where trees, buildings and mountains cast shadows on each other.
There’s more to play with: colour maps for terrain, smoother cliffs, better lighting on scanned surfaces, and tiled rendering for 1080p and 4K. Large scenes load as needed, saving GPU memory, while fly-throughs reuse the scene between frames.
To show some of this in action, here’s Lauterbrunnen in the Swiss Alps, made with real elevation data, LiDAR and aerial imagery. Watch the light move across the cliffs and into the valley.

Data centers becoming utilities is inevitable.
We’re in a period where the supply for compute is deeply constrained, where we’re starting to see the beginnings of scarcity pricing. Exposed to spikes in spot prices, today’s compute consumers—AI startups/robotics labs/research and scientific labs, etc.— adjust their demand accordingly.
This won’t be the case as AI becomes more diffuse in our daily lives, as it becomes a critical commodity. Right now only 2% of American households pay for AI. It’s not hard to envision a near future where that number jumps two- to three-fold as tomorrow’s compute consumers—everyday people—start to consume more AI.
It’s also not hard to see that the quality of tomorrow’s diffusion will have a different tenor: fewer chatbot one-off interactions to swarms of AI agents working 24/7 on our behalf. Today’s compute consumers will need to compete with tomorrow’s compute consumers, placing even more pressure on an already constrained compute supply.
When the price of compute spikes, today’s compute consumers bear these costs and/or go out of business. Tomorrow’s compute consumers will feel as if they’re begging ripped off. In this future, these spikes will be politically unacceptable.
This doesn’t even consider government intervention on the supply of compute. AI already plays a critical role in the U.S. government’s national security apparatus. There’s no scenario where it competes with consumers for compute; our government simply takes the supply it needs. In other words, it will play a hand in the market to allocate compute to the most critical/politically expedient needs.
Data centers as utilities is the natural first step.
David Friedberg explains why he thinks governments will end up rationing GPUs like a utility
"What I think is going to end up happening, and this is a prediction no one may like, but I do think we're going to end up in a world where governments are going to regulate data center

How can you prove one payment on a public blockchain without exposing your entire financial history?
That is the privacy problem @Americanfort_io is working to solve.
Its live Send-to-Name feature lets you pay someone through an @name using a one-time stealth address, helping prevent public observers from linking that identity to a reusable wallet address.
The recipient can still see the sender’s name in a supported wallet. The goal is privacy from the public, not invisibility from the person receiving the payment.
The next step is selective disclosure.
Instead of revealing your entire transaction history to an exchange or auditor, you could prove one specific payment and keep the rest private.
That SafeSend capability is still in development, with 0G positioned as its first destination.
Can public blockchains deliver both private payments and verifiable proof when it is actually needed?
Entrepreneurs looking to scale without external funding should take notes here. These books could offer the strategies needed to navigate the SaaS landscape successfully.
Old photos deserve more than a sharper version.
