I stopped posting on X a few years ago. When I resigned I came back to try to revive this account, because the people doing what I want to do are all here, building in public. A month in, it wasn't working. Then yesterday's post did over 45K views and more than 700 of you followed. Thank you. I also have a baby girl on the way, due in February. So the next few months are crucial to figuring things out, and I need to make them count. I have a few ideas, but the first job is my existing projects. They've never had a full day of my attention, so I'm going to streamline them and polish what's already working before I start prototyping new things. Friday is my last day. Surviving until then. I'll figure it out, and I'll post all of it here as I go.

I resigned a month ago from my CTO role at a fintech company in London, where I’d worked for six and a half years, to go full-time as an indie dev and build in public. It’s not too much of a risk for me since I’ve been making over £10k a month from my projects for a couple of years now. This is my last week at work, so I’m looking forward to dedicating my time to the thing I love, which is building cool things. I think the timing is also right now with AI. I’m losing my salary, but my first target is to match it with income from my projects. That’s my first goal. I will inevitably be more active here, documenting what I’m working on and how it’s going. I’m excited for my last week. If all goes well, I may never have a job again.
