Here's my obligatory "I build this with Fable!" post. Per usual though, it kinda spiraled out of control the more I kept trying to "Vibe" it instead of actually Engineer it. Still cool to see an idea come to life though.

Just spent the entire day yesterday using @mattpocockuk's skills to create a new Project. They're more or less an engineering approach to how to build with LLMs. So far, I've used the `grill-with-docs` to align the project to my intent, then `prototype` to flesh out the features to my liking. To it's credit, it's worked really well. I'll post updates as it comes along.

The two most important concepts I've realized while working with AI: Context and Alignment Context is easy: give an AI the right specs it can get a lot done. Alignment is difficult: getting the AI to align with your goals? That takes time. Both are necessary to build with AI.

Building software now is like Jenga. You can throw a tower together pretty quick with vibe coding, but every layer you add makes it that much harder to balance.

Dunno about your semester exams, but find something fun you wanna build and make it. Don't worry about your MMR or AI or whatever. All that will come later, just make something you wish existed. For me, I built a dumbass web app game. Was it good? Hell no! But I learned a ton and loved doing it. It's easy to get lost in what everyone is doing, but don't worry, we're all far more messed up than we seem. You got this, just keep going.

Now that building apps is easier than ever, the reality of programming has manifested: Every line of code is a liability. What does that mean? Well, simply put: every cog you add to the machine is another point you need to think about. It's another point that needs to be designed, maintained, fixed, updated, and considered when adding other cogs. It'll get to the point that running the machine is too much of a hassle and you'll need to either give up on it or hire someone to run it for you. AI hasn't eliminated engineering, it has exposed its true skill: liability management.

So why is Vim / @Neovim so popular anyway? Coding is very structured, and Nvim exploits that. It uses nothing but shortcuts to navigate and edit your project. Sure there's a learning curve, but when it clicks, you'll be editing closer to thought speed than anything else.

The more I've used AI in my workflow, the more I've realized it's just the next abstraction layer. We've gone from binary, to assembly, to low-level, to high-level, and now... to prompting. Each step up the chain has made things simpler, but more obscure.

One thing that I'm not sold on with @golang is its naming conventions. I understand certain choices like capitalized exports, but single-letter naming feels dated. We've got auto-complete now. Code designed for humans, so naturally, we should make it easier to read.
