180 YEARS AGO TODAY - WE FOUND A PLANET WITH MATH. On September 23, 1846, astronomer Johann Gottfried Galle observed Neptune for the first time - remarkably, almost exactly where mathematicians had predicted it would be. Astronomers had noticed that Uranus wasn’t moving quite as expected. French mathematician Urbain Le Verriercalculated that the gravity of an undiscovered planet could explain the discrepancy - and predicted where that planet should be. They pointed a telescope there. Neptune was waiting. The discovery became one of the great triumphs of modern science: proof that mathematics and the laws of gravity could reveal something humanity had never even seen. That principle still echoes through astronomy today as scientists use the effects of gravity, light and motion to detect distant planets and objects we cannot directly observe. September 23, 1846 - the day humanity calculated its way to another world. 🌎➡️🔵

Another Giants season, another injury nightmare. 🤦‍♂️ Jaxson Dart went down on the OPENING DRIVE against the Rams with a left knee injury. Early indications point toward an MCL sprain, X-rays were negative, and thankfully the belief right now is that it’s NOT season-ending. But then look at the rest of the night… Malik Nabers dislocated his shoulder and literally had to pop it back into place. Brian Burns sprained his ankle. Andrew Thomas went down with another lower-body injury. All in a 28–6 loss. At some point you seriously have to ask: why can the Giants NEVER just have their full team healthy at the same time? Every time it feels like things are finally coming together - new season, new energy, Dart looking like the franchise QB, key players back - something happens. Other teams deal with injuries, obviously. But I bet being a Giants fan feels like an endless cycle of finally getting excited about what this roster could look like… and then never actually getting to see the whole thing on the field together. Hopefully Dart’s MRI brings good news, because Giants fans have suffered enough.
