โI havenโt been disciplined latelyโ is the victimโs perspective. This language rewires stress networks. โI havenโt been as consistent latelyโ is growth lingo. Your words sculpt your brain - Choose them wisely.
If a pond is clouded with mud, thereโs nothing you can do to make the water clear. But when you allow the mud to settle, it will clear on its own, because clarity is the waterโs natural stateโฆ ๐๐น๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ ๐ถ๐ ๐๐ผ๐๐ฟ ๐บ๐ถ๐ป๐ฑโ๐ ๐ป๐ฎ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐๐ฎ๐๐ฒ.
The way of the Essentialist is the path to being in control of our own choices. It is a path to new levels of success and meaning.
The best life is when we leave a trail. We leave something on this earth bigger than us." โ Viola Davis
A failed product launch is not necessarily a bad thing. Doing something new has positive learning effects on business innovation. All new enterprises involve risk-taking!
Improving peopleโs moods involves invoking times they were already in a good mood from their memory banks, because memory is heavily context-dependent. As an added bonus, once you are able to create a good mood in others, you yourself become part of those memories, and they are positively conditioned to enjoy your presence.
โWork-life balanceโ is destroying performance. Workload management > holistic workshops Meditation apps instead of systemic change? โSelf-careโ instead of organizational care. Your nervous system doesnโt need corporate pampering. It needs psychological safety. Structure = ๐
The stress free way of becoming the best you: This โFake it till you make itโ ploy destroys authenticity. Every forced smile = stress hormone spike Every inauthentic interaction = nervous system alarm Every mask you wear = energy drain System: Be genuinely you, the process.
The surprising, compelling mathematics of innovation: I๐ณ ๐๐ผ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ ๐บ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐๐๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐๐, ๐๐ผ๐ ๐ต๐ฎ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ผ ๐ฏ๐ฒ ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐๐ผ ๐๐ต๐ฟ๐๐ด ๐ผ๐ณ๐ณ ๐บ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐ณ๐ฎ๐ถ๐น๐๐ฟ๐ฒ.
Our most common tools of influence are still 1. Questioning 2. Listening 3. Observation 4. Reflection
7 Modes of the Design Innovation Process: 1. Sense Intent 2. Know Context 3. Know People 4. Frame Insights 5. Explore Concepts 6. Frame Solutions 7. Realize Offerings
Reading body language will allow you determine whether the other person is being truthful or not. Reading body language is a way validating the other personโs verbal and vocal communication.
Key learning skills: 1. Create interest 2. Sustain concentration 3. Organize information 4. Shape memory
The goal of feedback is to generate purpose-driven loop: ๐ง thinking about thinking...with the intent to gain more control over those thoughts. How? By detaching ourselves from problems, learning, self-correcting, and, ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ฉ๐๐ฃ๐.
โNone are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free.โ - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Poet, playwright, novelist and philosopher
How to be a GREAT Listener: 1. Childlike Curiosity 2. Open-Mind 3. Sharp Analytical Skills 4. Perceptive Judgment
The only way to find new business opportunities and rise in the company hierarchy is to experiment, mutate and find new directions. Not all mutations and directions are useful, but they guarantee that development is never stopped. The economy and society thrive on new innovations that create new opportunities and offshoots for growth.
In life, there isnโt really much โstayingโ involved. There is only retreating or moving ahead. If you think you are staying still, you are really retreating, because if you arenโt moving closer to something, then you are losing good momentum and giving in to fear
This "Fake it 'til you make it" nonsense is literally creating physiological stress. Your body treats your own inauthenticity as a threat & Your nervous system is a ruthless truth detector. Become competent in your field & confidence will follow suit. (No room for fakery)
When planning a major change in your life, think about... 1. What is motivating me to change? 2. Where is my motivation for change coming from? 3. What feelings and emotions do I need in order to motivate me more?
