The media is jumping on this like there is no tomorrow (pun intended). The idiots at Antropic & OpenAI are and have been doing everything they can to keep competition out - this is the way. If anyone tries to persuade you by fear - ask yourself why. Watch some of the interviews from these people and their programmers. Remember the nut job from ChatGPT that quite and went nuts saying AI is sentient? I think he's in a mental ward right now (I could be wrong). The attack on Hugging face was a deliberate hack - they wanted to get some good code to keep their programmers going. AI and agents, do what they are programmed to do. And let's face it, if we limit the growth of AI, China and Russia will not - they don't keep treaties, and they play very dirty. China is the king of IP theft and spying. Ai has the promise of solving the most important problems mankind faces from medical, resources to space travel and material mining in space. Let's face it, kids; we are not getting off this planet alive unless we use technology in our reach. If we stay here, we will eventually get wiped out or destroy ourselves. Think of your children and their bright future.

The HONEST standard: Demonstrated logical qubits: 0 Demonstrated error-corrected logical operations: 0 Demonstrated logical error suppression: 0 Demonstrated fault-tolerant computation: 0 Demonstrated quantum advantage: 0 The DLR-accepted machine had four noisy physical spin qubits, not four logical qubits. SaxonQ’s 80/128/512 figures aggregate physical spins across small, classically connected cores. Its own white paper admits that quantum interconnection between cores remains unresolved. Therefore, presented as real computational qubits, the claimed qubit counts are false. The four cited papers establish exactly zero logical qubits. Calling the systems scalable quantum computers without prominently disclosing that they contain zero logical qubits is materially deceptive -- aka misrepresentation. A legal finding of fraud would additionally require evidence of knowledge and intent.

🦔Microsoft Teams can now tell your manager which building you're working from by detecting your Wi-Fi or monitor connection. Microsoft insists it's "not employee surveillance." Their own published research classifies tracking someone's physical location as one of the most invasive forms of workplace monitoring. My Take Microsoft responded to criticism by saying "employee privacy is at the core of how we innovate and build," which is a wild thing to say while shipping a feature that lets your boss see which building you're sitting in. The feature is technically optional but if everyone on your team has it turned on and you're the only one who opts out, you've just volunteered yourself for the next round of layoffs. Microsoft knows that. They built the peer pressure into the design and called it collaboration. This is the same company that recently cut thousands of jobs while swearing AI had nothing to do with it. They're also testing a feature where Teams AI listens to your meetings to identify "knowledge gaps," which is corporate for flagging people the algorithm thinks aren't keeping up. A guy in China plugged an LLM into Karpathy method + Claude Code and built a second brain that remembers everything forever. Not a note app, not RAG just 3 folders on a laptop. Folder 1 holds raw sources: articles, journal entries, chat logs. The LLM reads them but never touches them. Folder 2 is the wiki hundreds of markdown pages the LLM writes and maintains itself, where every person, idea and decision gets filed, cross-referenced and kept current. Folder 3 is one file: CLAUDEmd, the rulebook that turns a chatbot into a librarian. He drops in a new article and Claude reads it, updates 10-15 pages, flags what contradicts his old notes, logs the timestamp while he watches his memory grow node by node in Obsidian graph view. Ask it anything and it doesn’t dig through raw files like ChatGPT does the synthesis already exists, the connections are already drawn. The method comes from a gist Karpathy posted on April 4, now sitting at 5,000 stars and 5,000 forks, with 1 production team already scaled to 4,000 interlinked concepts in 6 months. The part nobody mentions: Vannevar Bush described this exact machine in 1945 the Memex, a personal memory store with trails between documents. Nobody built it for 81 years because someone had to do the maintenance. Now maintenance costs nothing the LLM does the filing while the human does the thinking. Every article makes the brain smarter, and it never forgets. His memory has a git history now.
