When I got into coaching in my early 20s, it was tough to even get an interview for a junior high job, let alone a head coaching position at a 5A or 6A school. You had to put in years, work your way up, and prove you could coach before you were seriously considered for those

There’s some truth in this but it also doesn’t fully consider the constraints some programs (whether it be school or club) are up against. There’s a big gray area here where these players are still intermixed for necessary reasons. The real takeaway is that player development needs to be a first class priority and thoughtfully customized for each program and player. It’s rare that coaches have the time to fully figure this out though… that’s why we built BenchOS💪🏼

Agreed, but context matters. Most youth coaches, even up to the high school level, are way overworked and way underpaid. Balancing player development, practices, games, schedules, etc. and doing it at a very high/specialized level for each kid is not an easy ask for 95%+ of these coaches who don’t do this professionally. BenchOS was designed to empower those coaches. Would love to give you a look at what we’re building!

+1, but the bottleneck for coaches at those levels is bandwidth. Do 95% of coaches at youth or even high school levels really have the time and resources to make player development plans? This should be a highly specialized, first class priority. BenchOS helps bridge this gap.
