@JoshConstine @majamediaco The journey is the destination
if you’re in san francisco and love music, i highly recommend checking out Envelop. they’re an immersive-sound nonprofit with a beautiful listening room where 32 speakers surround you for full-album, end-to-end listens i just heard Currents by Tame Impala there, an album that means a lot to me, and it was such a special way to encounter it again. you can feel how carefully every sonic choice has been matched to the emotional charge of each song. also still insane to remember Kevin Parker arranged and recorded the whole thing himself their calendar is stacked too, with Daft Punk, Frank Ocean, Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Miles Davis and many more. such a wonderful institution for a city to have, and a reminder of how different music feels when you give it your full attention
@rodneysclone1 @majamediaco We do a few BOC albums
@twopercento @majamediaco We are here. It’s not just the music mentioned.
@braelyn_ai @majamediaco 6 albums 😂 Let us know what you wish to hear! We’re always adding new experiences
@SSapana @majamediaco We listen together and feel the music without any distractions. We have drinks too but no traditional bar.
@Ianwdj @majamediaco We’re a nonprofit that designs immersive listening spaces so we can feel music together, and we create open-source production tools for artists. This is different than a bar with speakers.
Tides II is out now 🌊🌑 Designed to loop on headphones or while relaxing w/ someone you love. I spent a lot of time exploring how the harmonies, the spatialization + the rise and fall of the layers can warm the space it's in. I hope this music fills your space with warm waves
New piece to share soon! 🌊 Finishing the immersive mix in Envelop now Soaking in the summer. Soaking in the sound. Grateful for this song of life 🙏🏻
July at Envelop SF ✨ envelop.us/events
March at Envelop. 🎼 A timeless lineup of essential recordings, played front to back in full 32-speaker immersive sound. Join us at 900 Marin St in San Francisco for focused, collective listening built around presence and exploration. 🎟️ envelop.us/events
