This is exactly the point I was trying to make, where obviously Covid-19 causes blood clots at a far greater rate than the vaccine. The issue I had was that the graphic grossly exaggerated the percentage.

It is also unlikely that none of the unreported cases did not have a blood clot. Why is this so hard for you?

Since 2 of every 3 cases are unreported, the likelihood of a blood clot due to Covid-19 is somewhere between 5.5% - 16.5%. If all unreported cases did not clot, then 5.5%. If unreported cases followed the trend, then 16.5%.

Your ICU Doctor friend is the worst person to ask about this as they only see the worst of the worst. Anecdotal data at its finest.

@blair_parker @thepstall @MrsFranqueezy @cnnbrk @josefharper00 I agree with your point, and believe that the percentages mentioned for vaccination, birth control, and smoking are accurate (because we have full data sets). The issue with the graphic is placing Covid-19 percentage next to these items suggesting it is a fact 1 in 7 has clots.

Let facts speak for themselves. Covid-19 is horrible without misrepresenting data.

The graphic is accurate except for the covid information, which is why I singled that part out. Why are you trolling? The overall message is correct, but details matter.

Maybe it's 1 in 10, or 1 in 100... either way it causes blood clots and you should get the vaccine. That being said, stop force feeding inaccurate data and calling it fact.

@blair_parker @MrsFranqueezy @thepstall @cnnbrk @josefharper00 It's not about feelings, it's literally a data set missing a huge amount of data. Have you not had to present a graph in the real world? This would not be acceptable in real businesses.

@blair_parker @thepstall @MrsFranqueezy @cnnbrk @josefharper00 And most importantly, the missing data is from people who were asymptomatic or did not require hospilitization, which means that it would be less likely for blood clot to occur. This isn't difficult to understand.

I have the exact same argument with a graphic stating that 1/7 people who have covid have blood clots, when they have an extremely limited amount of data.

@blair_parker @MrsFranqueezy @thepstall @cnnbrk @josefharper00 Again, I don't know the real number and would rather not guess. I'm not a scientist and cannot perform the research. That does not mean that I cannot critically assess someone's research and state that (at minimum) half the cases are unreported, so 16.5% is absurd.

I understand that some people doing this may think it's to show the importance of the vaccine, but the lies upon endless lies are deteriorating the trust people place in historically trustworthy orgs

That being said, the graphic misrepresents the data for covid by stating approximately 1 in 7 people who have covid have blood clots. That's absurd, and should be called out, which I did.
