Can anyone at the @FTC explain how @Adobe is STILL allowed to violate the Click to Cancel regulation? You STILL have to contact support in order to cancel a CLEAR violation of the FTC's rule. #darkpatterns

@photomatt Thank you for this. I know it may seem like a small change but it is an important one. Glad to see a de-escalation in the WordPress space.

@CJSlattery It doesn’t take a 10 person infosec team to draft those policies. I’ve done it as a one person infosec team for the last two startups that I’ve been with and helped close 7 figure deals as a result at both companies. You just need a tech leader that understands the space.

@Adoubleagent We have a number of publishing sites with that many URLs that we’d love to test your tool on.

@ChandlerBing_12 Seriously? So we’re just going to ignore Veep (2012) Brooklyn 99 (2013), Silicon Valley (2014), The Good Place (2016), Fleabag (2016), Brockmire (2017), Mythic Quest (2020), Abbot Elementary (2021), etc. The only one who should be ashamed is you for missing so many great shows.

@ryancduff This was soooo petty by Matt to do and that it took this long to remove and only doing so by a court order is infuriating. #wpdrama

@joshtyler @firstshowing I’m not saying it excuses the way they went about it. But to just put your head in the sand and pretend that the classic UA was NOT a huge privacy risk to them is to ignore simple facts on the ground.

@chandler_bing26 @joshtyler @PlausibleHQ We also implemented @PlausibleHQ but unfortunately it’s not close to feature parity with UA/GA3.

@joshtyler @firstshowing They destroyed the product because of the legal implications / risk around privacy from the EU. They couldn’t continue to have a massive FREE tool that put a target on their back with regulators. Note that the PAID version of GA is still running on V3 and not V4.

@joshtyler They made GA4 so completely unintuitive to use AND then made it so it will randomly limit your access to the full data about your site. That means it CANNOT be trusted as the source of truth for stats about your site. Once that egg is broken it can’t be put back together.

@annbauerwriter @CNBC @FrankLuntz Did you even READ the article or look into the data or is it just that you FEEL it’s not possible and therefore it can’t be. Because @AldiUSA is offering a full meal for 10 people for $47 corporate.aldi.us/fileadmin/fm-d…

@blairmacgregor Good I never understood why Quora got the boost with Reddit. Reddit is actually useful, while Quora is a complete PoS site with spam answers and the worst UX of any major site on the internet. #seo

I don't understand why software co still offer alcohol as an incentive for a phone call. With 10% of adults being alcoholics, the people impacted by it & the declining rates of drinking in the younger gens it's got be less effective than offering something like Legos.

@JepsenThomas Curious when you say removed did you have to actually delete the pages? Or did you just mark them as no index? #technicalseo

@TimMedin We experienced a similar phishing attempt that used @Dropbox links which instantly redirected you to a fake Google login to capture credentials. These sharing sites need to be doing more to monitor the malicious actors using their systems as vectors for attacks.
