@Clempsin @b9bozzi I think a lot of people don’t like aspects of golf right now and they want to blame something as the reason. Barstool is the easy target. When in reality, the aspects of golf that aren’t great right now are the result of a multitude of reasons least of which is Barstool

You’re conflating two wildly different things though - the Barstool audience and the guys who come to play the Classic. Again, my sample size is much larger so you’ll have to take my word until you go to more, but the guys who come to the Classic aren’t the guys you’re describing as the Barstool audience. “On the golf course as well” - did you see anyone acting like a drunken jabroni? My guess is no. If you don’t wish to drink, I think that’s your prerogative and completely fine. But if people want to drink, let’s not crucify them. Many golf events have alcohol. Also, “let’s hope that trend continues and every golfer takes that approach,” is a veiled way of saying I wish more people viewed golf like me because I do it the right way. Bit self righteous. It’s everyone’s responsibility to uphold the game, not just yours. Truthfully, I don’t love your braggadocios manner in which you tell everyone where you play or posting pictures of a watch. Touch gouache for my taste. But hey, you’re excited/proud seemingly so that works for you. I prefer to play places and share privately with friends. I thought it was unfair to say it was a barstool event so everyone there would be a sloppy frat bro. I also think no one single person is the gatekeeper of golf Anyway, I’m glad you had a nice time on a world class course
