We launched on @RobinhoodCrypto because mortgage-like credit works best against durable real assets -- whether that is a house or shares in trillion-dollar companies. Buttonwood's market is big and not big. - Big because we are targetting a market worth trillions of dollars. - Not big because this cannot be scaled to the long tail of higher-volatility and lower-quality assets, whether equities or crypto tokens. As you will notice, we currently list about 12 tokenized assets on the platform. Over the next 3-5 years this might expand to about 15. Maximum 20 if we get some dark horse frontier labs IPOing at above $1T.

Buttonwood gives users “mortgages” to buy trillion-dollar company tokenized equities, after a 50 percent downpayment, on @RobinhoodCrypto - These mortgages are convertible if a user chooses — meaning, if the purchased equity or token appreciates by 50 percent or more, the mortgage is automatically repaid with part of the underlying equity tokens. - Meanwhile, lenders receive a fungible “consol” (consolidated annuity) token representing their loaned funds. As a result, lenders receive market upside exposure in addition to lending interest (including tailwinds from AI), while borrowers gain protection from liquidations. It's only a "Strategy company" if it comes from the "convertible credit" region of Finance. Using fees from random activities to buy an asset doesn't make you "the strategy" of something.
