@NigelWGourlay Barry seems a bit snitty at the mo but I guess things are fraught. I think he is having to face a breakup of his own. The neoliberal narrative has kicked him in the goolies and he isn’t liking it. I don’t have a lot of sympathy tbh. It’s the vulnerable that pay the price.

@Feargal_Sharkey I’m also very cautious with the data. It is sensitive. It gets deleted straightaway unless I know for certain that I will be using it. Access to the info is secure and controlled closely by the elections officials. Encrypted etc. I’d not worry overmuch if I was you.

@Feargal_Sharkey There’s something called the ‘marked register’ which is accessible to political parties that stood in the election. It’s available for about three months. (about £30) I’ve one from the last time I stood. It tells me who voted. Not who they voted for.

@Feargal_Sharkey It’s useful. When I stand again I can write to the people that voted last time. And not waste election communication on people that are probably uninterested. I like to avoid waste.

@RichardALJones @thomasforth While I get the interest in universities selling their GVA boosting prowess I’d suggest that if our locality is analogous to a biome then a university is a flowering shrub that looks pretty. It feeds off us and we really like it. But we need a complex mulch for it to thrive.
