Mark my words: this will happen sooner than most people think. At some point, maybe not even that far away, some of the biggest stars in the world will not exist in real life at all. Completely virtual artists, actors and personalities with millions of fans. And people will go crazy for them the same way people once did for Michael Jackson or Tupac, and still do for today’s biggest stars. There will be groupies, fan clubs, scandals, relationships, everything. Just for someone who was never a real person.

What you are experiencing now already existed long before the AI era. Maybe not on your team, but this way of working was already there. It was already just about pushing, pushing, feature, feature. In your bubble, it was perhaps good before, and now you are seeing or feeling how it actually was for a very large number of other teams around the world. This is not new. The only difference is that now it is done with AI.

Maybe at some point we can get closer to this: describe an execution flow in text, validate it against deterministic checks, and once it passes, compile it into fixed instructions that no longer change. The LLM would then only help to create the flow, while the actual execution becomes deterministic. And if the text changes, the deterministic flow would simply need to be generated and validated again.

@pjelinek @DavidKPiano Skills still have many use cases, and that will probably not change. But as David pointed out, you cannot really create a deterministic execution flow, like a state machine, purely through text descriptions.
