Melia from @Speechmatics is now the fastest speech-to-text model on @ArtificialAnlys independent leaderboard. 206x speed factor. Nearly double the next model. → #Melia — 206x → #AssemblyAI — up to 105x → #Gladia — up to 81x → #elevenlabsio — up to 55x → #soniox — up to 37x What it means in practice: an hour of audio back in under 20 seconds. 30 minutes in under 10. And critically one pass. Most "fast" transcription chunks the file and stitches it, which quietly costs you speaker attribution on long recordings. This doesn't. Same accuracy. 55+ languages in a single model, no language picked up front. Switching is two config values: model: melia-1 language: multi That's the migration. I have spent longer picking a Docker base image. Try on the portal - $100 in free credits, no card. Go try to break it.

Third: a failed word search is not proof of absence. Proper nouns come back phonetically from any ASR. So rather than answering "never mentioned," it falls through to semantic search.
