Unconsented tracking on the Conservatives website, predictable defiance of decades old privacy laws. Where is their committment to the rule of law? scanner.baycloud.com/trackerscope?g… Other parties not much better.

While showing no UK regulator bothers to actually comply with online privacy law, our scan of the @ICONews site also shows its wrong to assume that using the "youtube-nocookies.com" domain actually stops cookies. It never has. scanner.baycloud.com/trackerscope?g…

In a significant step forward for consumer privacy, @CAgovernor signed SB 362, the CA Delete Act. This provides Californians the ability to request that data brokers delete their personal information in a single step. cppa.ca.gov/announcements/…

So #twitter is a publisher. So that is it, let‘s apply all laws accordingly. Thanks.

@ianmiles Exactly. Twitter should be easy to use, but no more relentless free advertising of competitors. No traditional publisher allows this and neither will Twitter.

The Commission has today adopted its 2023 #WorkProgramme. Some good news for #DataProtection: to improve the cooperation between national data protection authorities in enforcing the #GDPR, @EU_Commission will propose to harmonise some national procedural aspects of their work.

@Chronotope Not all CMPs use TCF. Ours, baycloud.com (which was the first - years before the TCF), manages all non-exempted 1st-pty & 3rd-pty cookies & other storage, blocking their use by default until valid informed consent has been given, ability to change mind, expiry etc.

It's extremely frustrating to me that signaling could be an effective part of a larger compliance system but the IAB seems determined to tie it to TCF & ride it into the ground, then thru the ground & into the Earth's core until the entire concept vaporizes out from under them.

Its simply not true that all CMPs ("Cookie Popups") were created by AdTech. They did come up with the TCF smokescreen in 2018 in attempt to validate their bogus LI loophole, but even back in 2011 there were properly #ePrivacy compliant tools, e.g. ours (baycloud.ie)
