This week, our community in Colorado Springs said "Sayonara to Summer"! It was a fun evening of playing games and learning about how Initiative 195 can decimate our Taxpayer's Bill of Rights refunds and also hurt Colorado's economy more broadly.

Ballot measures that raise taxes, raise the TABOR cap, and eliminate Taxpayer's Bill of Rights refunds will NOT make Colorado more affordable!

Xcel Energy is asking for ANOTHER rate increase With this new hike, we, Coloradans, would be paying 22% more compared to 2023. Prices are already too high for housing, groceries, and other necessities. We need to tell the PUC: NO MORE RATE INCREASES! Read the full press release⬇️

The Taxpayer's Bill of Rights is not just about getting a refund every year. It's a check on state government spending & ensures that YOU have the right to CHOOSE whether your taxes go up. Thank you Minority Leader Caldwell for your perspective on why protecting TABOR is critical

The end goal of Prop NN is NOT to simply increase funding for schools The end goal of Proposition NN is to eliminate TABOR refunds & dramatically increase the state budget Prop NN allows the state to keep MORE of your money & gets rid of TABOR refunds, raising taxes on us all

If the government takes more of your money (through taxes & fees) then you have less money to spend on expensive necessities like housing, groceries, utilities, etc. How exactly does taking people's hard-earned money make things more affordable?

The same state legislature that's in a budget crisis because of poor spending wants to get more of your money. How? Raising the cap established by the TABOR. What will that do? Eliminate your TABOR refunds & raise taxes ON YOU. We need to hold these politicians ACCOUNTABLE!
