Religious wars caused worst violence in history. Last thing #Ethiopia needs is a religious crisis to put new cracks in its foundation. History shows Govts should remain neutral, assure non-violence, ask the Church to resolve dispute through prayer, dialogue with God’s direction.

If Africa wants grain, there is more than enough from Ethiopia, South Africa, Algeria, Morocco, etc. This so-called Ukrainian grain to 'feed hungry Africa' is a farce. If anything, it is meant to saturate the market, and disadvantage African producers.

#Ethiopia continues to prioritize strengthening relations with our neighboring countries. I’ve held extensive phone discussions today with the leaders of Djibouti, Kenya, Uganda, Somalia, Eritrea and South Sudan. We will continue working together on bilateral and regional issues.

I join other African leaders in reiterating that a continent of around 1.3 billion people needs a permanent voice and seat at the UNSC represented through a bloc. Issues and decisions that concern the continent cannot continue being addressed without continental representation.
