Something I’ve never thought about: $XRP annual escrow release is relatively aligned with typical global inflation rates. 300m/month typically = 3.6B annually, or ~3.6% of total supply moved to circulating supply. Which makes me think… If the majority of the world wanted to rid themselves from the counter party risk created by central bankers of/or other nations, what would that look like? How would you off ramp a system from “unlimited printing, but with a target of 2-3%” in which you can not enforce accountability in any meaningful way? And certainly, how could you possibly convince the world that the “first” to introduce this concept, Bitcoin, is the best and should be adopted AFTER 95% of the supply has been mined and your country (America) has already claimed the majority of supply? You either believe in a digital currency or not. And you either believe that the world will agree on how that digital economy works, or it won’t. It feels like the world is being shoved Bitcoin the same way they’ve been shoved USD. The rest of the world is sick of it (BRICS). There is a middle ground. Bringing this full circle: It’s not at all illogical to believe that XRP inflation matching global inflation is either intentionally, symbolically, or temporarily a means of: (- maybe, absolutely nothing.) - ensuring that all participants have a fair chance to participate (unlike “the first” / America’s global enforcement; national sovereignty prioritized against central bank oligarchy). America may choose Bitcoin - good luck convincing the world (who is stacking up against America) to have whatever crumbs are left. - building confidence in XRP as both: as hard as current money (inflationary, by design), with the ability to be as hard as Bitcoin if adopted at scale (when circulating supply = total supply) - proving an off ramp exists from the debt based central bank monetary policy, legally and from within the system itself. Keep in mind, while Ripple has escrow powers at the moment it is an entirely different animal than the equivalent power being held by central banks / the federal reserve. Ripple, as an American company, is subject to American best interests and IF it were necessary this power could be relinquished legally. The Fed will not give up control. While global adoption may be deterred by a private company’s control over the levers of inflation, if that is the only constraint to global adoption - it can be solved by removing that control, significantly easier than removing from the Fed/central banks. In other words: XRP provides the ability to remain inflationary as long as is needed for global adoption within the current standard (fiat currency). The definitively scarce total supply provides the ability to adhere to the new standard (asset backed).

Clarity Act is now poised to accelerate the “Bretton Woods 3.0” framework that I’ve talked about. The yield “ban” is cosmetic & simply something for banks to tout as a victory. It bans stablecoins from paying you interest for just holding them: the way a savings account does. But it explicitly allows stablecoins to pay you rewards for using them: buying things, lending, providing liquidity, participating in any program.. Now consider that those rewards can be calculated based on how much you hold & for how long. I think that’s what we just call interest, but it will now be rebranded under a new name. So, the implications: - The fact that there is now a carve-out for stablecoin yield will accelerate the Bretton Woods 3.0 system. If the ban had been real (no yield in any form) there’s no reason for anyone to hold stablecoins over a bank account. Stablecoin adoption would flatline (especially in Developed Markets) & Bessent’s $3.7T target would be hard to achieve. This carve out keeps the incentive to hold stablecoins, which keeps the growth flywheel spinning. - CBDCs can’t compete. No central bank would design its digital currency to pay activity based rewards calculated by balance & duration (too close to monetary policy). However, dollar stablecoins can. So in every market where a CBDC competes against a $ stablecoin, the dollar product is economically superior. The Clarity Act now guarantees that advantage persists. - The dollar now goes global without permission. The new text allows platforms to pay incentives for payments, remittances, & settlement activity using stablecoins. That’s a subsidy for global dollar adoption funded by private companies (not taxpayers). Meanwhile, increasing Treasury demand in the background. For example, a Filipino worker now gets a rebate for sending remittances in USDC. There’s an additional incentive for him to now transact in stablecoins, which, unbeknownst to him, purchases American debt behind the scenes. A win-win for global stablecoin users & the American economy (fiscal situation). The compromise looks like a ban. But it’s actually a growth mandate. How much of XRP’s price right now is actually supported by retail conviction? When you break it down, XRP is in a very specific phase. ~15–20% of supply still sits on exchanges (largely retail deposits), ETFs are only ~1% of supply and skew heavily non-institutional, and there are ~7–8 million activated wallets with a long tail of small holders. At the same time, we’re seeing steady migration to self-custody and growing multi-year HODL cohorts. That combination doesn’t drive price expansion but it constrains downside. So here’s the answer, as best as the data allows: Retail likely accounts for ~40–60% of the effective price floor right now; not by buying, but by not selling. Not perfectly measurable, but directionally clear. Price is moved at the margin by liquidity and flows: market makers, larger players, ETF inflows. But when a large portion of supply becomes inactive, it changes the entire system. XRP today looks like a market where marginal price is thin, but base supply is sticky. That’s a retail fingerprint. And that’s where narrative quietly enters as a driver of behavior. Riddles, signals, interpretations (whether it’s David, Arthur, BG123, Pool, or others) were never the whole of the thesis. But they’ve functioned as a kind of cultural glue. Not everyone believes in them literally but they’ve helped sustain attention, conviction and ultimately some degree of holding behavior. Over time, that matters. Not because riddles move markets like breaking news but because they influence whether supply stays locked or comes back into circulation. Now we’re at a point where that layer is being reassessed. Some are pulling back from it entirely. Others are framing it as complementary. And that shift is important because if retail conviction is part of the current price floor, then changes in belief don’t just affect sentiment… they affect supply dynamics. Zooming out, the contrast with other assets makes this clearer. BTC and ETH have largely crossed into institutional dominance; ETFs, staking, and corporate flows now drive marginal price. Retail built the base, but institutions move the market. On the other end, SOL and BNB are still heavily retail-driven but through activity (DeFi, memes, ecosystem velocity), not long-term holding alone. XRP sits in between: still meaningfully supported by retail holding behavior but tied to a future where, if it works, retail won’t be the driver anymore. If XRP actually reaches scale with real institutional usage, liquidity demand, cross-border settlement, broader financial integration, then price will be dictated by flows, not belief. At that point, $20 and beyond should be the byproduct of usage, not narrative. But we’re not fully there yet. Right now, we’re in a bridge phase. One where: - Retail still holds a meaningful share of effective supply - Institutional presence is growing, but not dominant - And belief, whether in the thesis, the timing, or the end state, still influences behavior XRP’s current structure does depend on continued belief in a transitional way. If belief strengthens → more supply locks → tighter float → higher sensitivity to inflows If belief weakens → supply returns → more liquidity → weaker floor Maybe the question isn’t whether riddles were ever “real.” It’s whether they were ever meant to point to price at all… or simply to keep people aligned long enough for the system to become what it was designed to be — a superior protocol controlled by Nobody.
