Every few months or so, some new alien-bloodline lore hits the timeline, and the usual nerds and religious cultists will immediately start vibe-tweeting their way into being descended from some rare extraterrestrial dynasty. You’ll see shit like, “Jesus was AB blood type just like me, so we’re both direct descendants of the ,” or my personal favorite, “I come from a rare 7,000-year-old R1b1b Rh-negative alien bloodline.” Apparently, the CIA is hunting these people because their bloodlines come with special abilities or metaphysical powers. Very cool. But unfortunately, if you’re an unemployed schizo autist who spends your free time studying ancient molecular genetics, the story starts falling apart almost immediately. Because you can’t just take a Y-chromosome haplogroup, a red-cell antigen phenotype, an ancient demographic expansion, and some cool alien lore and lazily mash them together into one exotic bloodline like they’re all the same biological thing. Thing is, R1b isn’t even a blood type. It’s just a branch of the non-recombining Y-chromosome phylogeny… basically just a regular ole haplogroup. And Rh-negative is just a blood-group phenotype that’s determined by variation at the RHD locus on chromosome 1. They’re completely different genetic systems inherited through completely different mechanisms. R1b passes through the paternal line. Rh can come from either parent. A man can be R1b and D-positive. Another man can be R1b and D-negative. A man from a completely different Y haplogroup can be D-negative. A woman can also be Rh-negative and have no Y chromosome at all. There is no singular entity in biology called the “R1b Rh-negative bloodline.” There is no Mendelian unit called “R1b1b Rh-negative” being inherited intact through some royal alien lineage. It’s fun, but it’s not real. At best, you’ll only see two markers that become statistically correlated in any particular population because the people share ancestry and history. But that doesn’t magically link the genes. As such, being the unemployed schizo scholars that we are, we know that R1b is not even actually a “bloodline.” Let’s take the Y chromosome for example. It records a single, extremely narrow genealogical path… your dad, his dad, his dad, on and on. If you go back ten generations (and ignore pedigree collapse) you have on the order of a thousand genealogical ancestor positions. Your Y haplogroup follows just one skinny paternal thread through all of that. Calling that your “bloodline” is giving one skinny paternal thread way more biological importance than it deserves. Nevertheless, let’s have fun and tickle our taints with a little 7,000-year old ancient alien blood line lore. If you study the quantitative arts, you can probably see the catastrophic error in the whole alien bloodline analysis already. It’s fairly well established that R1b-M269 and a few of its European branches expanded significantly across Europe during the late Neolithic into the early Bronze Age (3000–2000 BC). We also know that ancient DNA shows R1b becoming much more common in Europe during the major Steppe and Bell Beaker population movements of that time period. But that doesn’t mean R1b somehow randomly appeared 7,000 years ago, and it definitely doesn’t mean Rh-negative blood appeared along with it. This is the first critical error in the whole alien bloodline story. It takes the expansion of a male Y-chromosome lineage and turns it into the origin story of a completely unrelated blood-group trait. It’s a common rookie mistake. Junior analysts have been fired for less. But then the internet turns the whole thing into a cartoon. “R1b expanded thousands of years ago, so Rh-negative must have appeared with it, therefore we have a new bloodline, which means kings, which means aliens, which means gods.” It’s lazy as fuck, and it’s fun. But genetics doesn’t support those jumps. And the Rh side is an even weaker argument than that. When someone is Rh-negative, it just means their red blood cells don’t express the RhD antigen that’s normally produced by the RHD gene. It doesn’t mean they have some completely separate biological system. That’s fun in fantasy lore, but it’s not how human genetics work. But making the whole alien kangs theory even more retarded, Rh-negative isn’t even caused by a single mutation or one single ancestral lineage. In many people of European ancestry, the common D-negative form just happens when the RHD gene is deleted. And when you look at African populations, for example, the same Rh-negative phenotype can happen too. It just comes from different mutations, inactive versions of the gene, or hybrid RHD/RHCE genes. So right there we have killed the idea that there was ever one ancient “Rh-negative bloodline.” Because the same blood phenotype can result from many different genetic routes. If Rh-negative really came from one exotic alien ancestral population, we’d see at least one common unusual genetic signature shared across those people. But instead, we just see a shitload of very ordinary genetic mechanisms producing the same trait. But there’s nothing wrong with this because this is exactly what normal human evolutionary genetics is supposed to look like. That said, you may also see the cultists and nerds take this alien bloodline lore a step further and say weird shit like “Rh-negative exists nowhere else in the animal kingdom; therefore it is special and rare.” The reason a lot of people make the mistake of thinking Rh is specifically human and rare is because we don’t take human clinical labels like “A-positive,” “O-negative,” etc. and copy n’ paste them onto apes and chimpanzees. But naming conventions don’t change the biology underneath. Homologous Rh proteins occur in other vertebrates and exist across many species. The specific human RHD/RHCE arrangement evolved more recently through duplication in the primate lineage. And before you run around saying you come from alien kangs, you should know that Rh-related genes and proteins also exist in chimpanzees, gorillas, gibbons and macaques, and antibodies against human Rh antigens can recognize corresponding antigens in African apes. Hardly what you’d expect to see in an extraterrestrial bloodline. So if Rh-negative is really alien, and not common ape NPC blood, where is the alien genetics? Show the alien sequence. Where is it? An exogenous genomic contribution of that magnitude should give us at least something interesting to analyze. Is there a region that doesn’t nest naturally within terrestrial phylogeny? Are there any strange homology relationships? Do we see inexplicable synteny, unusual ancestral sequence structure, or some other molecular discontinuity that ordinary mutation, duplication and recombination can’t explain? And if this really is some alien or god-tier inheritance, where is the part that actually breaks our models? Where is the magical sequence, the piece of “divine DNA” that refuses to behave like anything else on Earth? Because when we actually look, we find the exact opposite. We know that RHD sits on chromosome 1 beside the RHCE gene and fits normal primate evolution perfectly. The common European Rh-negative form can even arise through ordinary deletion of the RHD gene during recombination. Even the mechanism producing the common European D-negative allele is ordinary molecular biology. Highly homologous sequences around this duplicated locus make it susceptible to non-allelic homologous recombination/unequal crossing-over, which can delete RHD. You don’t need an alien for this. All you need is meiosis. Usually when I bring this up, the counterargument always goes something like, “Well, maybe the aliens themselves are genetically almost identical to humans,” which is obviously lazy and unfalsifiable. It’s weak, but I’ll bite. For these aliens to naturally interbreed with Homo sapiens and produce fertile descendants, they would need spectacular compatibility across chromosome segregation, meiosis, imprinting, regulatory architecture, developmental signaling, protein-protein interactions, placentation and embryogenesis. Right? But at that point you have just proposed an organism whose genome behaves like another terrestrial hominin. We already have those. They’re called Neanderthals and Denisovans. So the deeper you dig into alien kangs theory, the more retarded the bloodline actually looks. “But it’s super rare, and if it’s rare, therefore it must be special.” Just because it’s rare doesn’t mean it’s exotic or special. Just look at ordinary D-negative blood, for example. We also know that Rh-null and Bombay blood are far rarer than ordinary Rh-negative. But does rare equal special or good? The whole R1b, Rh-negative, kangs, aliens chain is not genetics. It’s mythology that just combines a bunch of unrelated facts into one “bloodline.” But let us tickle our taints again and run a simple population-genetics test just for fun. If the alien kangs theory is legit, it should survive, right? Let’s say R1b + Rh-negative supposedly identify one coherent bloodline today… then the first thing we should be able to demonstrate is an actual association between R1b and the RHD phenotype that survives basic controls for ancestry and population structure. And if that association really came from some genuinely foreign ancient alien population, the genome should preserve some identifiable evidence of it somewhere. We know this because humans already carry DNA from populations that were once genetically different from us. We still carry measurable Neanderthal and Denisovan DNA inside us right now. We can isolate the segments, compare them against ancient genomes, reconstruct the phylogeny and estimate when the admixture happened. We have more than enough data to measure this. This is what extraordinary ancestry looks like when it actually happened and isn’t just lore. Now let’s look at Rh-negative. According to the cultists and nerds, it’s supposed to have this exotic alien signature, but it’s a completely ordinary and recognizable variation in a completely recognizable primate gene. And when you take a closer look, you see it sitting exactly where it should be on a human chromosome, surrounded by ordinary human DNA. Nothing exotic to see here. Just normal mutation and recombination, with the same basic Rh machinery showing up in chimps and other apes. It looks very common and aggressively simian. So again, where is the alien part? Are the nerds just retarded apes larping as alien kangs? We don’t need to run complex quant to find the answer. We can get there by asking one simple question. If these alien beings evolved independently somewhere else in the universe, what are the odds that they somehow arrived on Earth (very convenient)… and showed up with our matching chromosomes, our red blood cells, our hemoglobin, our Rh proteins and a genome that’s compatible enough with ours to produce fertile offspring? Because if the answer is that they were genetically almost identical to us, congratulations, you have not described an alien. You have just described another hominin. And we already had those. We can see the genomic evidence the Neanderthals and Denisovans left behind. Taking alien kangs theory a step further, I’ve also seen quite a few nerds use CCR5-Δ32 and make the same mistake. CCR5-Δ32 is a real 32-base-pair deletion, and it is heavily enriched in European populations. It also plays a role in immunity and the nervous system. Cool. Very normal. But RHD is on chromosome 1, CCR5 is on chromosome 3, and there is no evidence that Rh-negative + CCR5-Δ32 magically forms some special inherited alien package, much less that the combination produces “psi” or creates unusually psychic people that intelligence agencies want to hunt. Sharing a population is not the same thing as sharing a chromosome. Two traits can ride the same ancestry for hundreds of years without ever being genetically linked. So why would the CIA waste their time hunting ancient alien bloodline larpers? The CIA is retarded, but they aren’t this retarded. Sure, you can make the case that an “intelligence” agency would definitely care about massive commercial DNA databases and want to study and/or hack them because they contain ancestry, kinship and population data on millions of people. Data is money and money is power. No shit. But unless the CIA has access to some advanced alien math that I don’t have (they don’t) and can prove that the NPC in the cubicle next to you is actually a special-ability descendant of an extraterrestrial R1b Rh-negative alien dynasty, then all we really have is a bunch of ordinary apes with ordinary genetics convincing themselves they’re secret alien nobility because their blood test had a minus sign. Is R1b interesting? Sure. Rh-negative is also interesting. Population replacement in the Bronze Age is interesting. Archaic human admixture is extremely interesting. Intelligence agencies and genomic databases are interesting. Great lore. It’s a bit unusual. But just because something is unusual doesn’t mean you can’t explain it or that there’s some deep metaphysical lore behind it. At a certain point, if nobody runs the numbers, it just turns into multiple groups of retarded apes studying other retarded apes. This stuff is not anomalous. The genome is actually super boring and ordinary. There is no mysterious magical insertion. No orphan sequence pointing outside terrestrial ancestry. No broken phylogeny. No biological discontinuity demanding some extraterrestrial explanation. No magical aliens hiding in the base pairs. No god gene waiting to be decoded. Just ordinary human NPC genetics doing ordinary ape shit, with some taint tickling lore sprinkled on top for fun.
