Praying there are enough real Texans left for Paxton to win this Senate race. But also, I went to my neighborhood pool for Labor Day and the first thing I saw were two women in hijabs and an Indian woman eating a plate of curry while standing in the shallow end of the pool.

Aside from the H-1B lottery system, I think the biggest problem with the H-1B is that it's costly and cumbersome for visa holders to switch jobs. Silicon valley was built on brilliant inventors spreading their expertise across the innovation ecosystem. When inventors switch industries, their patenting significantly increases. This decision to eliminate the 60 day period for H-1Bs to find a new job makes no sense. It's harmful from both an innovation a labor perspective. It brings the program closer to indentured servitude and only benefits the employer.

Out of 140,000 employment immigration category greencards, on average: Indians: 22,000 Chinese: 18,000 Rest of World: 100,000 Given that the greencard wait for Indians >> Chinese > Rest of World, it follows that Indians getting employment greencards are vetted multiple times by DHS/USCIS/DOL while they extend their work visas (mainly H1B), change employment, undergo PERM multiple times, get multiple I-140 approved etc. and obviously during the I-485 stage finally. In contrast, about 85% of the employment greencards are given away with minimum vetting. Yet, the woke right has a knee jerk reaction when it comes to removal of country caps in employment immigration, because of obvious reasons (indians) But what gets lost in the vitriol is that country caps removal doesn't mean indians get greencards faster. What it does that everyone waits the same time (even indians, obviously) & arguably allows everyone (including Indians) to be vetted multiple times. Why wouldn't one want it?

Texas: Hispanics are the dominant ethnicity at 40%, overtaking whites at 39% Indians are less than 2% in Texas, overall. They are concentrated in some cities, where there are high skilled jobs. Now, here's a thought experiment. What if there was not a concentration of Indians in some of these cities? What ethnicity would be in the crosshairs of the woke right? What videos would be getting plastered on social media? And then, think what influencers keep shining light on the "Indian invasion" of Texas

Immigrants find jobs and work at higher rates! And we're supposed to find that to be a bad thing. Employers aren't biased toward immigrants. Immigrants are biased toward finding work (in part because they're mandated to find jobs quickly)

Cardano hit an all time high of roughly $3.10 on September 2, 2021, and $ADA is sitting around $0.20 today. Are we really going to rule out the possibility that it breaks its previous all time high in another strong bull cycle? And more broadly, if you’re letting personal feelings about a project, community or founder stop you from objectively looking at an opportunity, you’re doing yourself a disservice. This market rewards good positioning, not emotion.

H1B employees are not "international employees" - they live and work in america, and are affected by layoffs in america due to macro economic trends just like other US workers.
